About Greg Davis

Gregory Davis is the Executive Director of Metro Boston Alive Inc. Since 1986, he has served as a substantial pillar in the Boston community and has worked tirelessly to support and educate youth, adults, and families in underserved and at-risk communities to make healthy decisions about drug use.  His works incorporates decades of expertise that spans across the Substance Use and Human Services fields. He has served as the Clinical Director as Boston’s Historic Dimock Center and filled multiple leadership roles at the Boston Housing Authority.

Through the doors of Metro Boston Alive, Mr. Davis has helped over 20,000 people and their families in their journey to recovery with rich programming for youth and adults, that is specifically tailored to the needs of the communities he serves. His center serves as safe space for individuals of color and their families to address issues as they navigate through the painful experiences that addiction often brings. Community members receive peer support groups, youth programming, connection to care, and skill building for their personal growth and goals.

Greg believes in helping individuals in their journey to recovery by incorporating the family as a whole, and bridging people to sustainable treatment models. He has fostered long term relationships with the City of Boston, The Roxbury Boys and Girls club, several healthcare institutions, Boston public housing authorities, and youth centers. These relationships and partnerships enable Greg and his team at Metro Boston Alive to connect, refer and collaborate effectively across all systems and methods of treatment. He believes that anyone coming through his door looking for help “shouldn’t leave the same way they came in” and he dedicates his life to making sure this rings true.
